Andrew Lofthouse - Norfolk Piano Tuner
I was apprenticed at Cookes of Norwich and began 4 years
of training to learn all aspects of piano technology and servicing.
I qualified and continued working in the workshop (reconditioning and restoring
pianos) and "on the road" as a piano tuner until 1985. I joined Aldens and
ran the service department for 8 years. Passed the pianoforte Tuners Association
Exams and turned self-employed in 1993 and continue to offer the highest levels
of service for professional and amateur clients throughout East Anglia.
My work covers all aspects of piano servicing from tuning, simple
repairs and adjustments in your home through to concert tuning, toning
and preparation for performance.
I also undertake renovations, reconditioning and restoration of your
cherished heirlooms or Auction/Saleroom "bargains".
All my clients have different needs depending on their instruments
and ability. Some professional musicians require their pianos to be tuned
and regulated more frequently, but usually twice a year would be adequate
for the domestic instrument.
With over 200 strings and aproximately 5,000 parts, a piano deserves
regular care and attention of the highest calibre.
My purpose is to give each and every client the best piano possible
for their own individual needs. |
